All GFEST 2017 events went well including the finale performance on Saturday the 25th November 2017, where the Mayor of Camden presented GFEST 2017 Magnum performance award to Short & Girlie – to their absolute delight. Notably, Short & Girlie are planning to start GFEST Magnum Performance scholarship for young LGBT performers with the award money.

GFEST 2017 Magnum Visual Art Award was announced on 14 November and the winner was artist Jason Carr, and GFEST 2017 Magnum Film award went to filmmaker Jake Graf.

Among all these celebrations, a sad note was struck when GFEST oraganiser art charity Wise Thoughts had a theft in their office resulting in loss of 3 laptops + tablet, that were stolen on 23 November, more info.
