North London arts charity Wise Thoughts that produces London’s annual LGBTQI cross-art festival GFEST, will be participating in London Pride Parade on Saturday 25th June 2016. Wise Thoughts and ‘GFEST – Gaywise FESTtival’ organisers will march in the museums, archives and galleries section (in Group F) for the first time.

Wise Thoughts is a leading organisation in presenting LGBTQI issues via arts and works in partnerships with museums, galleries, arts and cultural venues.

Wise Thoughts artistic director Niranjan Kamatkar said, “Although we have had stalls at previous Prides, this year a number of younger people from our free LGBT drop-in services are very keen to take part in the parade. I hope we can reflect in the diversity of the first ever museum, archives and galleries section in London LGBT Pride.”

He also added, “We are determined and proud to march in the Pride parade for the first time since we started 17 years ago. As an organisation, we want to stand in solidarity with the victims of the Orlando attack and deliver a loud and clear message: hate never wins!”

Wise Thoughts offices are based in Wood Green Library in North London. Wise Thoughts has been organising annual GFEST – Gaywise  FESTival in November since 2007.

GFEST 2016 theme is OUT [in the Margins]. GFEST 2016 will run in venues across London from Monday 7th November to Saturday 19th November.
