A number of statutory bodies, voluntary events, news channels  and community groups are sending a loud and clear message today for IDAHO : International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.

The message is: Together we can put a full  stop to Homophobia & Transphobia.

Foreign Office Minister Jeremy Browne has sent a video message of support for IDAHO. It is an important awareness raising message since a shocking fact remains that Homosexuality is illegal in 77 countries and in 7 countries people  are punished for their sexuality with death sentences. The Foreign office has also hosted two guest blogs on its website.

The TUC has published new workplace guidelines  ‘LGBT Equality at Work’ to mark IDAHO, today.

We need to keep raising awareness of small or big violation of human rights. We also need to bring attention to discrimination and the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people around the world.

Best wishes to IDAHO organisers for all the hard work that is put in.
