Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London sent a message of support to London’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) and queer art fest GFEST – Gaywise FESTival.

GFEST 2010 starts from Monday 8 November and events are planned for every day during the next 2 weeks until 21 November.

In his message the Mayor said, “London’s dynamism – and future prosperity – depends on creative people having a platform to showcase their work. GFEST does just that, highlighting talent as wide-ranging and diverse as the LGBT community itself.”

The organisers of the festival have appealed to artists, art enthusiasts, tourist visiting to the UK capital and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community members to help spread a word and attend the exciting events.

Now in its fourth year, GFEST 2010 will showcase short films, performances and visual artworks in exhibitions this year.
