A very quick chat with Sybil about her work:

What are you doing right now?

Working on the second draft of a script of my next short, entitled “The Equestrian”.

How do you see your own work?

Up to now I’ve been interested by the dark in relationships – emotions. As well as the tension that underlies those things left unsaid.

How relevant is your work today to be a part of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) or queer art work?

It’s the story of a married man who falls in love with a male co-worker.

How do you fund your films?

Private financing..

The Chef's Letter

How do you publicise or market your work?

By mounting a fierce festival campaign, along with creating a website, pursuing press coverage, and using social media (although I’ve by no means exploited this fully).

Thank you Sybil and best wishes from GFEST.

Now in its fourth year, GFEST 2010 will showcase short films, performances and visual artworks in exhibitions this year.
