A representative from GFEST 2010 said, “Hundreds of  artistic / LGBT community members, bloggers and websites have helped spread a word of the call, literally across the world, and we are confident that a number of interested Visual Artists, Performers and Short Filmmakers will still be able send the entries in time before we close.”

GFEST panel of selectors who will choose the entries carefully in mid July include:  Ajamu, Ali Zaidi, Campbell, Julie Bindel, Julie Lomax, Paul Burston, Steven Paul Davies and Niranjan Kamatkar.

GFEST, an annual event in London’s cultural calendar in November, is supported by the Mayor of London and Arts Council England for the past three years. Last year BBC London and some international media coverage described GFEST as ‘biggest thing going on in London’.

Stephen Howard is one of the trustees of arts charity Wise Thoughts, organisers of GFEST.
